Cadillac Escalade Adds FlexFuel
The entire lineup of the 2009 Cadillac Escalade will be able
to run on both regular gasoline and E85 ethanol, or drivers can choose from any
combination of the two. This great announcement was further discussed and
announced last Friday by General Motors. The great thing about this alternative
from Cadillac is that customers will have the fueling preference at no
additional cost.
The Escalade, Escalade EXT and Escalade ESV as well as the
GMC Denali, will be alongside the previously announced 2009 Chevrolet HHR,
Buick Lucerne and Hummer H2 and H2 SUT as additions to GM’s industry-first
flex-fuel lineup.
“The success of E85 as an alternative fuel depends on having
the fuel readily available and having a range of cars and trucks that can use
it. We will offer more than 15 flex-fuel capable models for 2009 compared with
11 this year,” says GM Vice President of Environment, Energy and Safety Policy
Beth Lowery.
The most recent E85 product announcements corresponded with
the launching of a dozen new E85 fueling stations in the Greater Atlanta area
this week. Customers can now avail a one of a kind offer from Cadillac which
also benefits thousands of consumers along with the independence from the
conventional gas fuels.
“We continue to believe that ethanol used in high blends
like E85 offers the best near-term solution to offset increased oil demand. There
are more than 7 million vehicles today that can use E85. We need significantly
more stations that offer the fuel,” Lowery added.

Yes, there are rumors that Honda’s small car Fit will merge
into the green lineup of Honda vehicles. According to Hans Greimel writing for
Automotive News, Honda is planning to introduce a gasoline-electric hybrid
version of the popular Fit subcompact in 2010. Honda is gradually becoming a full-pledged
supporter of a greener auto industry which generates awareness to millions of people
around the globe.
If Honda’s plan will become a reality, the cute Fit will be
the fourth hybrid from Honda Motor Co. by 2015, as the automaker tries to keep
pace with Toyota Motor Corp in the low-emission car race. The greener Fit will get
rid of Honda's earlier doubt about the practicality of rising expensive hybrid
systems on small, low-priced cars that already get great mileage.
"The Fit has great fuel efficiency to begin with, and
if you put in a hybrid, it's going to get even better," Fukui said while announcing the car at a
mid-year news conference. "So with crude oil prices going up this much, I
think a Fit hybrid is now starting to make sense."
"We're not that interested in comparing ourselves with Toyota, but I don't think we're going to come in as second
runner to them," Fukui
guaranteed.
New Honda Fit shoppers can now choose from any of the two
versions. This update underscores another remarkable environmental effort from
the world-known Japanese carmaker. We are expecting more fuel-efficient and
environment-friendly vehicles to rise in the upcoming years across the four
corners of the automotive industry.

Ford’s “Baby” F-Series, Coming In 2011?
With oil costs
and Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) rules hastily increasing and the Ford
Ranger compact on its final stand, a 'mini' F-Series pickup possibly about to unite
Ford's top selling truck line-up. Online as well as offline resources are wishing
that the all latest Ford F-100 mid-size hauler will appear by 2011, next to the
F-150 half-ton. However, let's just think they don't leave a lot of space
for mistakes on the high-side of the gas guzzle topic. I think this big time
Ford publicize this pickup truck, doesn't it? But merely if said pickup automobile
is supposed to be the come back of a badge not seen from Dearborn since 1983 — F-100. It’s true that
we are hearing of a mini-pickup similar to the existing F-150. As reported, it
will be based on the F-150’s appearance, driving capability and mainly not
in overall size. If it's for production, Ford Motors proclaimed that we can
wait for a Ford F-100 at 9 out of 10 the size of 2009 Ford F-150 to knock dealer
loads in the 2011 reproduction year.
A form feature
that the 2000-2006 Toyota Tundra was completely have many disparagement for not
couple of months. However, those was earlier days when U.S. fuel prices goes
more than $3.50 a gallon for standard gasoline and insist for half-ton vehicles
starts to noticeably shrink. F-150 profits have decreases up to 15.5% through
April from 2007.
For additional
analysis and reviews, it happens the staffs at Autosavant
have heard related details regarding the F-100 from their resources. They also
have approximate reports about the definitive upshot of the Ford Ranger.

New Fang of Viper for 2008
This 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 show offs more than
what they expected performance fanatics crave. “Smoke Them” words that you can
say when you drive this car, throw-back-in-the-seat performance, merged with firm
braking system, first-class ride and driving, a eye-glancing and race-type
interior plus bold exterior designs.
While each SRT car presents balanced, in general capability,
overall this new 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 has its top standout powertrain. For
2008, SRT loaded with a innovative, 8.4-liter aluminum V-10 engine that creates
an surprising 600 horsepower and 560 lb.-ft. of torque.
According to Kipp Owen, Director of Street and
Racing Technology (SRT) Engineering, Chrysler Group. "A legendary big-game
hunter once said, 'Bring enough gun!' - and with the new 2008 Dodge Viper
SRT10, we've created some very powerful artillery for sports-car enthusiasts, "With
600 horsepower - 90 more than before - and 0-to-60 performance in less than
four seconds, the 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 sets a new benchmark for the ultimate
American sports car."
This 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 appeared in Dodge display
areas in North America this summer through a fresh level of customization choices,
as well as five new stylish outer surface colors, four original interior color arrangements
with a latest wheels.
So, wondering how fast is this vehicle? You
should try 0-60 in, below four seconds and a closed-course run approaching 200
mph. The acceleration is totally powerful and comes on so quick that without
doubt you’ll find yourself in suspended license because of overrunning a police
car when you get to the end of fourth gear. Fortunately this did not happen,
but the excitement to let loose the power is coming to my mind.
Base price for the coupe is $86,940, with
destination and a hefty gas guzzler tax. The top-down is obtainable at $86,190.

2008 Is VW’s 6th Year With Berlinale
This year's Berlin International Film Festival marks the 6th year of Volkswagen's partnership with the filmfest. Once again, the automaker will provide stars the transport to the red carpet. The automaker has been playing an active role in the Berlin's prestigious filmfest for 6 years now. There are lots of good reasons to do so, as the Berlinale is more than ever a guiding light of international excellence, high artistic quality and cutting-edge innovation. And VW is jubilant to be part of the glam and glitz of German capital's filmfest. "Against the dramatic backdrop of the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag building, Seal and Die Fantastischen Vier will be appearing live to really make this party something special. You can't get more Berlin than that." said Heike Lichte, Head of Public Relations at VW. The German automakers vehicles will also be the VIP guests to the Teddy Awards ceremony. One award that has inked a special part of the festival action is the audience prize, the Volkswagen TEDDY Ballot. The same is awarded jointly by VW and Tip, the city magazine. The Berlin International Film Festival will run from February 7 to 17. Be there to experience the spark!

HUMMER.com, A Website Like Nothing Else
HUMMER.com's official website was totally cool when I first saw its homepage last night. Two days ago, when I read the article from TheAutoChannel.com, I wondered why HUMMER came out as the top ranked in the latest J.D. Power and Associates' 2008 Manufacturer Web Site Evaluation Study(SM) (MWES)-Wave 1. Now I know why. According to the Auto Channel, J.D Power and Associate's semi-annual evaluation determines the manufacturer's Web site usefulness during the shopping process of new car buyers. "HUMMER continues to set the standard with a Web site that satisfies shoppers through fast performance and streamlined navigation. A focus on a user-friendly site that delivers robust information to shoppers both quickly and easily has put HUMMER's site in the top spot three times in the past four waves of MWES," says Steve Witten, the executive director of marketing/media research at J.D. Power and Associates. "Traditional point-and-click Web site navigation is changing as a growing number of shoppers use search engines to link directly to automotive manufacturer model pages rather than the home pages. As a result, manufacturer vehicle model pages are beginning to contain more functionality than ever before. Lincoln's Web site, in particular, combines rich content on its model pages with fast, clear navigation," added Witten. Final results of the Manufacturer Web Site Rankings (Based on a 1,000-point scale): HUMMER 867 Lincoln 865 Kia 863 Honda 862 Mazda 862 Jeep 859 Acura 858 Lexus 856 Saab 854 Toyota 851 Ford 850 Mercury 849 Subaru 849 Suzuki 849 Cadillac 848 Dodge 848 Infiniti 846 Mitsubishi 846 Buick 845 Land Rover 845 Porsche 845 BMW 843 Industry Average 842 MINI 840 Hyundai 835 Saturn 835 Volvo 833 Chrysler 830 Jaguar 830 Mercedes-Benz 830 Chevrolet 828 Nissan 828 GMC 824 Pontiac 823 Volkswagen 820 Scion 803 Audi 784

When hard times become much tougher, the instant reaction of shoppers is to shift to affordable products and services. This is also true in the auto industry. These days, it's pretty hard to be impulsive in shopping. The consequences are injurious. To meet the new demands, automakers intend to build cars that aren't hard on the pocket. This is why Tata Motors released the Nano dubbed the new "People's Car." As rivalry dictates, other automakers are also planning to introduce cheap cars. PriceWaterhouseCoopers predicted that over the next 5 years about half the growth in auto sales will come from Russia, India, Brazil and China and most of the demand will be for small cars. In 2007, Consultancy firm Ronald Berger estimated that global demand for small cars, costing less than $10,000 (£5,000) would increase by 30%. Already there is considerable demand for small cars throughout Europe and Latin America where Volkswagen's Gol, Renault's Clio and Nissan's Tsuru sell extremely strongly, according to Times Online. But Tata Motors Chairman Rajan Tata said that while the Nano will undoubtedly compete with other small cars, the Nano is actually the first car in a whole new area of the market. "The way I see it, this vehicle will cannibalize some of the lower-end car market and some of the higher-end motorcycle and scooter market. It will eat into both of those markets but it will also create a market of its own," said Tata. "It will expand the market by creating a niche that did not previously exist. It may well cannibalize some of the higher-end car market, but to a small extent, and probably only when people look to buy a second or third car." The 5 cheapest cars worldwide:1. Nano. Motor Trend’s 2008 Car of the Year Goes...
Drum roll please... and now ladies and gentlemen, Motor Trend's 2008 Car of the Year award goes to... the 2008 Cadillac CTS! I know this ride deserves a ground-pounding applause from all of us because the Cadillac CTS is indeed the most marvelous vehicle model for 2008. Contenders for the said award were closely battling with the CTS, but in the end, the Cadillac went far ahead leaving its rivals eating dust.
"The Cadillac CTS marks the first time in decades an American automobile has been designed and engineered with an eye on the global marketplace. Among its many excellent qualities, perhaps the most valuable one is that it shows Detroit can build a world class car to compete with the best Munich, Stuttgart and Toyota City have to offer. With the CTS, Detroit is officially back in the car business, not just the truck or SUV business," says Angus MacKenzie, the editor-in-chief of Motor Trend. "The CTS's winning attributes go far beyond a well-designed façade," said MacKenzie. "It's the star of a new GM revival, and with a base car price of just $32,990, the car is truly accessible to a wide spectrum of car buyers."
